Japonica Hair

My long unruly hair was superbly cut by Jack. This was my first time visiting Japonica. I am very careful choosing hair salons, as I’ve encountered a few disasters in the past. I really appreciated Jack’s attention to detail and patience in getting the cut to exactly how we’d discussed beforehand. Nothing felt rushed. The salon has a welcoming feel. I’d taken the afternoon off work to relax and it was a perfect way to spend it. Next day at the gym, people commented on my healthy my hair looked.

I just want to say how incredible the staff are here - professional, kind, warm and everything you could want from a salon! I always leave feeling so revived and happy with my colour - love love love thank you Charles for never failing to give an incredible experience and to all the team. Well worth the money.

Had my hair and fringe cut last week by Jack and I'm so happy with it. Japonica is a lovely, serene atmosphere and i felt very welcome. My natural hair is curly/ frizzy so sometimes difficult to style, I've previously explained to other stylists what I'd like but always come away a bit disappointed. Jack knew exactly what I wanted to achieve and understood the assignment, ive never felt so relaxed in a salon. I've been able to style my hair how I like without layers being cut in. Thank you for the magic! I'm definitely coming back.

It's been two weeks since my restyle haircut, and I still can't get over how amazing the shape/silhouette of my hair is every time I see myself in the mirror or in photos. I am really not one to fuss over my hair or make much effort. Being a mum with two young kids and a full time job, I just want to look tidy really. I have had so many compliments about my hair - even from strangers. I can't thank Jack enough and I'm not even sure he knows just how much I love this cut. So I wanted to write a review to show my appreciation (and I very rarely write reviews!). I don't spend much time on my hair (other than a quick wash and 2-minute blow dry), and to be able to feel fabulous and confident about my hair every morning is a new norm for me! I already know that I will ask Jack for the exact same cut again when I get a trim in a few months' time. I've never been more happy with a haircut. Thank you Jack :)

As a visitor to a city, one doesn’t necessarily expect the care and attention that a salon would give to a beloved regular customer… but that’s what I got at Japonica. Seiko was delightful, made helpful suggestions, and gave me a memorably wonderful haircut. I will return any time I’m in the city!
